Just sharing some news that came across my inbox today (title and link below) and wondering what others thoughts/concerns/ideas are around CYCs & CYCPs playing (or not) a role in this type of concept as we seem to be seeing a lot more of this type of thing in the media of late.

Julie,
Fantastic!! Strongly support the school system utilizing CYC-P's to provide mental health training and support for children and youth. What a tremendous impact, adopting this into our school systems would have. Lead on Ontario.

Hi Julie,
I wonder what type of mental health professionals they mean when they state:
“The province also recently announced $6 million in new funding to hire approximately 80 additional mental health workers. This investment will help an estimated 4,000 children and youth each year."
I hope this means CYCPs! Do you know if that might be the plan? This seems like a great initiative. However, it looks like they just mean to hire psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and nurses. If that is the case, I am disappointed we did not make the list for hires...
