Day Program Supervisor is a leadership role in managing the daily operations of client care environments. This includes overseeing front-line support staff, ensuring smooth implementation of routines, and maintaining a safe, trauma-informed space for individuals accessing services. The House Manager/Supervisor ensures that client care plans are followed and that program environments meet agency expectations for quality, compliance, and professionalism.

Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Social Work, Behavioural Science, Psychology, or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a support or supervisory role within human services.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and behaviour management strategies.
Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities in fast-paced environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with documentation practices and shift coordination.
Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
Clear vulnerable sector screening.
Availability for flexible hours including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Oversight
Oversee daily activities and support routines within assigned client programs and locations.
Ensure the environment is clean, safe, and structured in alignment with care plans and organizational policies.
Respond to behavioural challenges or program disruptions using approved crisis intervention techniques.
Staff Supervision & Support
Provide leadership to front-line support staff, including oversight of shift performance and task completion.
Offer mentorship, coaching, and on-the-spot guidance in trauma-informed service delivery.
Coordinate with the Director of Client Services regarding scheduling and staff performance.
Client Support & Program Delivery
Ensure individualized client routines and behaviour support strategies are followed by all team members.
Monitor client well-being, communicate concerns about client care to the Director of Client Services, and maintain accurate records.
Promote an inclusive, respectful, and structured environment in which clients feel safe and supported.
Communication & Documentation
Maintain accurate shift reports, incident records, and communication logs.
Participate in team meetings and liaise with Administration as needed to ensure coordinated service delivery.
Keep leadership informed of significant events, concerns, or operational needs.
Health & Safety Compliance
Conduct regular environment checks to ensure safety standards are met.
Ensure that all program activities comply with relevant policies, regulations, and licensing standards.
Support emergency response procedures and lead the team in incident management when required.
