In one month's time we will find ourslves in the first week of May – the time each year when many of us have been celebrating International Child and Youth Care Workers' Week.
Have a look at what we wrote about this in some previous editorials:

A few years back, during the month running up to the date, we ran a regular feature on the web site in which people all round the world wrote to tell us what they were planning to do for Child and Youth Care Workers' Week – some teams in programs or schools were planning dinners, parties, get-togethers; some associations were holding special meetings and dinners at which they chose guests to honour, a Child and Youth Care worker of the year, etc.; some colleges and universities even planned special mini-conferences or seminars ... and what good ideas they all had.
What are we going to do this year? It would be a pity if we let this tradition die out, and if we failed to consider our profession worth celebrating. Someone may like to kick a discussion into play in the discussion group; someone may like to prepare an article, a story or a feature for next month's CYC-Online which will be published in that week; someone in your agency or school may like to enthuse some colleagues to find a venue and dig out some old recipes and plan an evening or an afternoon “do” when fellow team-members can gather to celebrate this work which we have made our life.
We look forward to hearing ...
