I am not God, nor saintly
I am but educated and wise beyond my years
Your children will be my life experience,
My reason to get up with a smile on my face.
They will be in my dreams and my blood,
sweat and tears will be for them.
Together we will fail, but we will do so with dignity.
We will realize that we did all that could be done.
Together we will succeed,
We will take pride our progress and realize
that life really should be taken one day at a time.
I will be your shoulder, your confident, your strength.
There will always be a long road ahead,
No matter how much we proceed.
We will have days when we will travel backwards and we will fall down...
Once again, we will do it together.
I am entering the unknown... my career, but it is my passion...
These are your lives
And they are delicate.
Your children are precious. You have entrusted me. Haven’t you?
What is my role? What do you expect of me?
What can I do but my best?
Will it be enough? Is it ever enough?
I am not a Savior, but I would love to save you.
I cannot save you, I cannot bring you where I am not prepared to go myself.
I cannot teach you what I do not know myself.
I can only learn from you...
I will grow just from having known you
and keep the hopes that someday you will grow too.
I will watch, I will wait, I will indulge you as long as you let me.
