Child and Youth Care practitioners, social workers, and helping professionals are invited to join an inspiring learning experience designed to explore entrepreneurial pathways in relational practice. Rooted in Practice: Entrepreneurial Pathways offers an opportunity to reflect on how our professional identities can grow beyond traditional roles while staying grounded in the values of Child and Youth Care. This engaging session will explore ways practitioners can expand their impact through private practice, resource creation, program development, and innovative service models—while remaining deeply connected to relational practice. ALL PROCEEDS OF THIS EVENT will support Child and Youth Care practitioners attending the CYC World Conference in Newfoundland this June. Your participation helps ensure that practitioners have the opportunity to gather, learn, and bring new ideas back to our communities. Hope you will join us!

Leadership in relational contexts requires sustained commitment. Building teams, developing morale, addressing workforce turnover, mentoring through example, and safeguarding relational values are ongoing and intentional tasks. As we become more experienced as practitioners and leaders, it is ever more apparent that there is a growing responsibility to ensure that hard-earned relational learning is: - Preserved - Remembered - Adapted - Reimagined - Carried forward by emerging generations. UNITY 2026 seeks to explore how we remain rooted in relational practice while rising into relational leadership. We invite presenters to submit proposals that align with the theme of Relational Leadership Practices. We welcome a broad spectrum of contributions, including: - Research - Practice-based presentations - Workshops (interactive and experiential) - Panel discussions - Storytelling and narrative approaches - Innovative leadership models - Case studies - Reflective or theoretical explorations. Consideration will be given to any proposal that meaningfully engages with relational leadership.

In 2026, the Child and Youth Care World Conference is returning to where it all began in 2013 and the first CYC World Conference! The theme for the upcoming conference is Connecting through Relationship. We are still connecting through all the areas identified in 2013, and we are also connecting to our history, to each other, and to the young people and families we serve.
